Biography:

I have been performing on drum set for more than thirty years and composing music for almost twenty.

My drumming style has been described as, "...a fiery display of finesse and emotion, ...an astonishing demonstration of technique tempered by an abundance of ideas and musicianship." I have shared the stage with top performers such as Buck Hill, Stanley Cowell, Gil-Scott Heron, Larry Seals (LSQ), Stanley Turrentine, and Vinny Valentino to name a few.

As a part of my musical journey I have provided mentor assistance in several student programs. In 1992 I was awarded a 'Grants-In-Aid Fellowship Award' By the D.C. Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts for my work in this field.

As a musician and composer I try to offer a unique multidimensional view into jazz, and the art of music.
